No. The jewelry sits around your wrist, ankle or neck like an ordinary chain.
Only the small connecting ring is welded. The jewelry is not attached to your skin, and the process does not involve piercing.
Is Permanent Jewelry Really Permanent?
“Permanent” means that the piece has no traditional clasp for daily removal. It does not mean that you must wear it forever or that it cannot break.
You can choose to remove your jewelry when necessary. Depending on its condition, it may be possible to reconnect it later.
